This month, we will be joined by Cindy Friedman, Brand Therapist & Founder of Sparkle Creative.

Illustrator 1.0, Quark, Flash, and now AI...IT'S JUST A TOOL

What the art of noticing taught me about every tool that promised to change everything

Cindy Friedman started her career on Illustrator 1.0 and builds with AI today. In between came Quark, Flash, and a dozen other tools that promised to change everything. Some did. Most didn't. In this conversation she shares what a career of new tools, from Illustrator 1.0 to AI, taught her about the one thing no tool has ever been able to do: hold up a mirror to a business so its owner can finally see it. Expect real stories, a few laughs, and a short exercise in noticing something true about your own work.

Cindy Friedman notices things. She is a brand therapist in Austin who spent the first half of her career building big brands and now works with founders of service based businesses, making their brilliance visible. She is a featured author in the Amazon bestseller Luminaries: Women Leaders Who Light the Way, and her chapter is called "The Art of Noticing," which is also a fair description of her job. A longtime WCA member and mentor, she led the design for the WCA rebrand years ago, and has and designed brand systems for many of its events.
