About half of the sustainability professionals we know in Austin attend NYC Climate Week. The other half doesn't. Given our raison d'etre is community and conversations, dining out on all of the knowledge-sharing from Climate Week is a great way for Austin Sustainability Professionals to get dishy on the latest global thought leadership direct from the people who participated. It's almost like TMZ except with real facts and juiciest details the about sustainability.
For those of you who are new to the Austin Sustainability Professionals invitation list, you should know that we are a "whisper network" of professionals all working toward building the Sustainable Economy in Central Texas.
Who Are We?
Austin Sustainability Professionals is a Central-Texas-based independent group of sustainability-oriented professionals working on building the Sustainable Economy. We come from large multi-national corporations, the start-up universe, climatetech, energy companies, financial institutions, professional services and more--we represent the holistic universe of people and companies creating next-level solutions for sustainable outcomes.
We're Enabling Conversations Across Our Community
To make networking more effective and interesting, we're designing a way to put people together in relative proximity so that conversations are focused and relevant to individual interests. We have "Conversation Captains" who help foster these conversations during the event. Each attendee is welcome to wander from conversation to conversation at will as their interests peak and wane.

Gratitude and Giving involves a few local nonprofits where we hope that you can use your corporate matching giving program to boost your impact to these organizations.

Tradewater is a B-Corp committed to permanently preventing the world’s most potent greenhouse and ozone-depleting gases from releasing into the atmosphere. We’ve collected, controlled, and destroyed super polluting halocarbons and methane equivalent to 7.8 million metric tons of CO2 thus far, and are on track to controlling at least 3 million tons of CO2e annually. The work is supported by companies and individuals, seeking to make an immediate climate impact, with permanent, verifiable, and highly-rated carbon credits.

Austin Sustainability Professionals is currently an ad hoc, grassroots, and proudly organically grown independent group of sustainability-oriented professionals working on building the Sustainable Economy. No membership fees or working groups, just drinks and getting together with other professionals because it's cool and we, in general, are a nice bunch of people.
